Build NASA’s Next Mars Rover, Make $1.5 Million

Every year, a little crowd of robots descend upon the otherwise peaceful town of Worcester, Massachusetts. Their creators– ranging from high school and college students to families and couples– come for a possibility to win $1.5 million at NASA sponsored competition. This month, about 20 groups tried to pass level one to win more than $5000 and more importantly, qualify for the round with the huge reward. Bloomberg's Jing Cao explains exactly what it considers a robot to win and it's not as easy as it looks.
